Dr. Thomas Wittmann is a Wisconsin native. He grew up in central Wisconsin in the city of Brillion. Dr. Wittmann attended Marquette University in Milwaukee where he graduated with high honors. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency at a Medical College of Wisconsin affiliated residency program. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine.

In 1990, Dr. Wittmann joined Dr. Gwendolyn Tanel in Waukesha to form a successful family practice clinic. In 1993, Dr. Wittmann and Dr. Tanel were founding partners of Moreland Family Medicine Associates. Dr. Wittmann’s clinical interests include: caring for families, preventive medicine and patient education.

Dr. Wittmann is very involved in the community on both a professional and personal level.  Leadership positions include his current service on the Board of Trustees for the Medical College of Wisconsin.   He has served on the Board of Directors, including the role of Board President for the Medical College of Wisconsin/Marquette Medical Alumni Association, The Food Pantry of Waukesha County, and Family Service of Waukesha.  He continues to serve on the Advisory Council for Family Service of Waukesha.  Dr. Wittmann has been past president of Moreland Family Medicine Associates.

Other professional affiliations for Dr. Wittmann include his membership in the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Wisconsin State Medical Society, and the Waukesha County Medical Society.  He continues to serve as a volunteer physician at the St. Joseph’s Medical Clinic.

Dr. Wittmann enjoys spending time with his family and is greatly involved in their many activities.  His hobbies include biking, snowshoeing, golfing, gardening and following the Green Bay Packers and Marquette Golden Eagles.

Dr. Wittman has repeatedly been elected by his peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America.
