Dr. Gwen Tanel came to the Waukesha area to attend the Waukesha Family Practice Residency Program. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, Dr. Tanel is an alumnus of the Medical College of Wisconsin.
Dr. Tanel started her medical practice in Waukesha in a small private practice. Soon after, Dr. Tom Wittmann joined Dr. Tanel’s practice. In 1993, Drs. Tanel and Wittmann were among the founding partners in Moreland Family Medicine Associates. She currently serves as Medical Director of Laboratory Services for Moreland Family Medicine. Dr. Tanel has developed a thriving medical practice and is only accepting new patients on a referral basis.
Originally from Milwaukee, Dr. Tanel and her family live in the Waukesha area. She enjoys outdoor activities, including biking, kayaking, swimming and fishing with her family and friends.
Dr. Tanel is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice Physicians, the American Medical Association and the State of Wisconsin Medical Society.
Dr. Tanel has been elected by her peers for inclusion in Best Doctors in America from 2003 to 2010.
